I started experimenting with hard cider last week (see the air locks in the background), last night I started 2 crocks of kraut (5lb of juniper berry and 2lb of caraway), and tonight I started a gallon of pickled green tomatoes (even though I'm actually still getting red ones - I expect to finally get a frost this week). I want to get a crock of kimchi started, but Dierbergs was waay too proud of their sketchy looking napa and bok choy. Maybe next week.
